yeah I did it! I went to the gym and did all the distances that are going to be in my first sprint. My goal has been to do my tri in under 1 hr 25 min on race day. Today at the gym I did 1 hr 38 mins with 8 minutes of that transition time. I'm so excited! I only ran 1 out of 3 miles but I'm working on that.
I know my swim/bike transition will be faster because I won't have to totally change clothes.

Any suggestions for cutting my time? I have 2 months left to train.

Great job!  Maybe work on doing long slow runs for endurance - that should help you maintain a running pace - or try running 8 minutes, walking 2 and repeat.  Of course you can change those numbers.  I think you are doing a great job!

Great job. I actually did the same thing yesterday myself but I broke the crank bolt on my bike 10 minutes in, so i had to switch to bike a lot sooner than i had planned.

Sweet!! Nice job Tricat. You'll make that time goal easy with 2 more months to go.

Nice work! I tried my first combination of the three elements a couple weeks ago, but only half the distance I'll be doing in the race (which is a 3/4 mile swim, 24 mile bike, and 5 mile run). I didn't do as well as I'd hoped, but I learned some important things about eating, and transitions. Overall I'm glad I did it because now I know what I have to really focus on in the next 6 weeks of training. Keep up the good work!
