Does anyone know if you are having someone pick up you t-shirt and timing chip for you if they need your confirmation postcard? My mom is picking up my stuff for me, since we're coming in from Dallas. We had our numbers mailed to us, but need the other stuff. The website isn't terribly informative.

They said as long as it's a family member then they could pick it up for you without the postcard. If not, they would need the confirmation postcard.

So you should be good to go.

Hey Laurie, did you order your poster from the website? The cheapest one I saw on there was $50, so I didn't know if there was anything else a little cheaper. I just want something basic that I can put in a frame.

If you guys do have a pre-race BT dinner, maybe I could at least stop by and say hey. I could bring beer too!

Poster is $50.  Yeah, pretty expensive, especially for me since I'm doing the race for fun.  But I really liked how they had the Katrina Relief theme to it.

As far as dinner goes, Bear has suggested dinner out.  Honestly, it doesn't really bother me either way.  We have more than enough beer, so thanks anyway Jeremy!  I could make ravioli again and Angel can make Chicken Parm.  Our house got the cleaning of a lifetime this weekend, so we can eat here, or we have plenty of awesome restaurants suitable for carbo-loading (Bravo and Semolina's come to mind...)

What time is everyone planning on making it into town?  That may be a better determinate of our plans, since we may have some people coming in late and possibly eating on the road or being hungry walking in.

We're up for anything, just trying to make it easy for you guys with all you have going on. Just let us know.

I'll probably get 50-60 in on the bike Friday morning, so we will probably leave here at about noon, hit the Expo for 3pm or so, and make it to the Lejeune Palace for 5:30-6pm. Can be earlier or later, again let us know.

We love Semolina's, they closed the one here so we miss it. Cry They also closed our Macaroni Grill.

Never tried Bravo, though that looks good too...

Dinner out sounds good.  Semolina's is about 5 minutes from the house too.  We need more input from other people though!  I'll PM Bill and Haley and Aaron.

We're driving in on Friday evening, and won't be getting in until late, 9-10 PM. So dinner's out for me, but hopefully I'll bump into some of you before/after the race

Okay...for those of you who don't know, Haley, Aaron and I are walking (rather, sashaying) the CCC.  Derek was supposed to be in, but is out because of work.   Because of that, Haley can't be the Texas A&M beeotch to Derek's LSU Tigers.  Instead, costumes will consist of HAWAIIAN theme!  Coconut bras optional, but preferred!  Let's dress up and have some fun!

As far as Friday night, how about we meet for drinks at our house and head out for dinner at Semolina's for 7 or 7:30?  Is that too late?  I'll try and call ahead and get a big table reserved so we don't have to wait, but I don't know if I can.

That sounds good to me. So dinner at Semolina's at 7 or 7:30. That means drinks should start around.... what, 3 or 4? Kidding, kind of. Anyways, I'm up for anything.

Looking forward to meeting all of you.

Jeremy

Joann and I won't be able to make the dinner.

Let's set a meeting point for the post race party for those who can't make the dinner.

I just called, and they don't take reservations, but you can call ~30 minutes ahead of time and let them know you're coming and it helps with the wait.  It should be fine.

Works for me. Just to be sure, you're talking about the Semolina out by the Esplenade mall, right?
