Anyone signed up for this weekend event? I'm in! I would like to get some training in there to get familiar with the bike course, but it doesn't look like the best place to ride with the curvy roads. Any thoughts?

I am in. I am a noob when it comes to TTT. NC cancelled on me last year. Here is what a teammate sent me:

Hey!  Sorry i just saw this!

So on Friday, you have a super sprint.  It seems easy, but quite honestly, I think it's one of the harder races in the weekend because it is lights out the whole time.  It is a 250m swim, 5 mile bike (huge climb), 1 mile run.

Saturday.  Prepare for a long day.
1st race is at 7am.  Olympic regular format.  Bike isn't that bad, but it has a few solid climbs, including one from basically a dead start.  Run is hilly...VERY HILLY and on fire trails.

2nd race is at 330.  Olympic (bike, swim, run).  The bike is an out and back...huge downhill...but HUGE CLIMB.  This is the biggest climb of the weekend (in terms of degree of the climb)...but not the longest.  Can be windy.  (if you are on a team, you can draft this race).  Swim...hard to get wetsuit on and usually people cramp BIG TIME in the swim.  Water is typically cold....get out, pound nutrition, and get running.  Running is the same thing...very hilly.

the half...2 loop bike....1-2 big climbs each loop.  Couple switch backs.  Not that bad of a day, just tired legs.  The run...two loops of the firetrails.  VERY HILLY.

its a tough weekend for sure...but also a great accomplishment.  Lots of comradery (sp?) and tons of fun.  Plus it's sponsored by infinit...so it has good nutrition

Let me know if you have any questions.

Looks like the had modified the Sat AM course - but then went back to the original route. I don't know if that's a good or bad thing!

Great job everyone!  Especially those that did the Triple-T.  I cannot imagine doing what they did.  I can barely walk today (mostly due to blisters on my feet), and I did less than 50% of what they did!
