Pre-race routine:

Up at 4:30 AM, got packed, pre-drove the bike course, etc.

Event warmup:

Swam a couple of hundred yards, a little stretching.

Still need to work on open-water form. Breathing and form seems to go to hell in open water situations.

Nothing - good hard pace, pushed the downhills really hard, passed a lot of riders

Hard run - pretty high heart rate at start, with lots of hills. Had a side stitch most of the run (where the hell did that come from, haven't had one of those in years) and borderline nausea most of the run.
What would you do differently?:

Probably less accelerade, more water on the bike, maybe ease up just a tad at the end of the bike.

Warm down:

Walking around and cheering on my co-workers.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Swimming - need more work.
Need more hill training (both bike and run)

Event comments:

Good race, well organized - will certainly be back next year, and try to get under 1 hour 30 minutes.
