Subject: RE: ING New York City Marathon : Official Thread40th street and above everything is fine. The further you head downtown the worse it gets. So don't head downtown. Everyone has power 40th and up. Everyone below does not and or has flooding issues.... So if you staying upper west no issues. When your in midtown / central park area you wouldn't even think a hurricane passed thru. The area where I would be most concerned is the start of the race in Brooklyn, but Im sure they have it cleared up. In terms of dining most restaurants should be re-opened above 40th, but DEFINITELY MAKE RESERVATIONS because due to the lack of power most people have to dine out + half of the city is closed + marathon = mess.
