Extreme Veteran 863 West Michigan | Subject: RE: Why Shave? Unless I'm racing for money and have a good chance of winning, there is no way I'm shaving. I just don't get it and certainly don't have time to do it. Also, I believe trainingpeaks blog had a study on how minimal shaving helps performance (if any). The gain would have to be +5mph average for me to shave. |

Regular 57 Pleasanton | Subject: RE: Why Shave? Let me just say that when I got smashed by a car and went to the Hospital, the nurse just gave me a quick wipe and my wounds were clean. Otherwise she would have been scrubbing for days. That is the sole purpose I shave and it was worth it. As far as technique goes, you would burn through $50 bucks in razors by the time you got done shaving versus buying a cheap set of clippers at Rite Aid and shaving after to even it all out. Dont forget to moisturize |

You know they make a spray now, right? Really? Wow! I had no idea. That is brilliant! Yes, of course, I know that, smart guy. And I use the spray mostly except on my face. If you're harry enough, the spray just makes a nasty, sticky mess and still doesn't cover totally. As someone who is at risk for skin cancer, I'll stick with my method. You can do as you wish. |

X2 with Razortri. I personally won't use the sprays- the not supposes to get inside you. Good sunscreen, that is normally tougher to put on, is much easier without hair. Already been in for one basal cell tumor |

I know some women who dig a beard on a guy. I've even met some that say things about a hairy chest. Before i read above where someone said their husband would sleep on the couch with shaved legs, I'd never heard any woman say anything about a guy's sexy hairy legs. that, and armpits. Summary: I've never heard a woman say "i really like my man with some 6 inch armpit hairs that are all pasted down with deodorant and sweat" or "Ohhh, I like my man to have hair that i can run my fingers through...on his legs." |

Being pretty is for women. I dont not shave so that women will like me. It has nothing to do with looking good for people. Grooming oneself in order to be found attractive is a womanly thing to do. I would call that prettying oneself up. |

I have to look nice for work and for church and because maintaining some sort of attractiveness is the least I can do for my wife. I'm not talking about shaving here, just grooming. |

I would call that prettying oneself up. On work days I do keep my beard trimmed where it starts growing on my neck. I suppose now that I'm thinking about it, I'd have to say I make grooming decisions based on what will require the least amount of attention or energy. I want never to have to bother. I'm not someone who would be described as "hairy" though. |
