Subject: RE: IM 70. 3 For 2013 jmk-brooklyn - 2012-06-19 12:34 PM "Heat" is a relative term. What's the highest temps you're willing to race in? I understand you don't want to race in Texas in July, but what about Rhode Island in June? It could easily get into the mid '80's and, if you get unlucky, 90's isn't out of the question. But most tris are in the summer, and unless you restrict yourself to Northern states and don't race between June and September, you've got a decent chance of 80-degree temps or better wherever you go. I'd recommend either Timberman or IM70.3 Rhode Island. I’m racing IM70.3 Syracuse this weekend, and it probably will be 70’s or low 80’s during the early part of the race. Even temperature is relative when you don't factor in humidity. 90 with 40-50% RH is downright pleasant compared to 90 with 90%RH (which you'll find in FL for 5-6 months of the year) |
