Who's in? It wil be my first Oly of the season. I have been working with Optum for the last six weeks and I feel that my swim has improved dramatically, but we'll see how it turns out in the Open Water.....

I'm doing the sprint. Love the videos and the foam pointing fingers. Should be a fun race. I volunteered last year, but this is my first time competing at Minneman.

I'm dong the sprint too - my second tri ever!   I loved the video.  I need to study the course map as I am not familiar with the area.  Is the bike course flat?

From reading the reviews, it sounds like it's not flat, but not especially hilly. There's the corner for the dismount that you have a slow way down for. Hopefully someone's scouted it and could let us know. I doubt I'll have time to go look at it.

I'm in for the Oly and looking forward to it.  I watched the videos and would recommend checking them out.  The oly bike and the run are basically two loops of the sprint courses, so we will have to pay close attention to make sure we go the right way.  In and out of transition and to get to the second loop of the bike in particular will be interesting.  Coach Kris also mentioned that they cannot mark the course with chalk or spray paint, so they are planning to use orange duct tape.  I think it's going to be great, but with sprint and oly racers on the same course, each person is going to need to know where they are going and pay attention.  I'm going to try to get out there this weekend to check it out too.

Good luck everybody!

I went up and drove the bike course over lunch and the course is primarly flat. There are a few rollers that are maybe a 1/4 - 1/2 mile in length. It looks like we should be able hammer most of the bike, the roads through St. Francis and the residential area appear to have been either repaved (St. Francis) or top dressed (residential area around golf course) within the last year and should be super smooth.

Good to hear a report about the bike course - a few rollers are fun.

I just got back from packet pick up and there are more stickers (11 + 2 tattoos) than I know what to do with.  I understand most, but what one do you put on your back -- none are labeled that way.  What do you do with the food voucher one?  How about the Support Team ones?   Are these for a dry clothes drop?  There is no mention of a bag drop in the packet.

Thanks -- this is my 2nd tri ever and the first one with all of these stickers!

We would be there with you all as last minutes adds, but the registration was pulled before the noon cut-off time. I called and alas they can't help us apparently.

That makes me laugh. I also pondered the many stickers last year at the TwinCities tri, and I am a lot more experience than I admit   It will all work out.   At the very least, just bring them all with you.

Thanks!  I'll stuff the extras into my bag.  I'm pretty excited.  The start lists is awesome!  I almost wish I was spectating rather than competing!

I'm really happy how my race went.  I came in mid-pack and my husband won his age group.  Whoot!!

I started in the 3rd to the last group - 61 minutes after the Oly Elites went off.  I was just about in T1 when DKT went flying past me to start his run!  In the hour I waited plus my 1/2 mile swim, DKT had done his 1 mile swim, 26+ on the bike and 2 transitions.  He was led start to finish yesterday.  Wicked fast!

I'm not done with my race report yet.  I'll post it when I'm done.
