All....I currently live in New Mexico and am posting here looking for an answer I couldn't find in the NM local forum. I recently bought a set of tubeless carbon rims for racing and am unsure which tires to get. I want something that rolls fast but not so delicate that I won't finish a race. I have heard that Tufo's are very durable but roll like crap.

So what do you all use in AZ? Do you even have goat heads here?

Vittoria? Zipp Tangente? Continentals?

Thanks in advance.

I'l bet most don't know what Goat Heads are.  In FL we called them "Sand Spurs", it wasn't till I lived in TX that I heard them called "Goat Heads".

Sand spurs and goat heads are two different animals. Sand spurs are those prickly things that get caught on your clothes while walking on trails of off the side of roads and are prickly but soft. Sand spurs are what velcro was modeled after. Goat heads are like sand spurs on steroids. They come from a local weed and have three points that easily puncture a tire or your heel if you happen to step on one barefooted.
