hey folks, looks like a good group of us going...

if anyone is planning on staying over on saturday night and would like to split a room let me know...

I can't wait for the chamagne (one of you does that right?...just have ice since you all will be done and drunk by the time I finish!) I think we are going to have a blast...

I have the best home made tortellini salad we can have with fresh herbs from my garden for either day before race or after :)

I think I am staying with friends there, but I am considering a hotel for Saturday night.  Still very undecided.  But the festivities will happen post race.  I can't celebrate on my birthday the day before, so I must catch up the day of the race!!!

Fun will be had!

I'm in for this one. Looking forward to it too. True Oly distance and from everything I have heard, it's a really good race. This will be my second river swim in an oly tri in the last month. My last one went into the current for at least 50 percent of the time, while this one is supposedly all downstream. We'll see about that come race day. If BT'ers are meeting up, let me know and I'll stop on by.

ok at least tell me what you all want to eat..I am dealing with all men here aren't I ???

geez.

OK, there are a bunch to choose from depending what you want and how far to go. They have a Carabbas (pretty good italian chain) we won't even mention olive garden, that is fake. There is longhorn steakhouse...there is little italian place right there called 'mom's italian'...

so a) italian, steak, BBQ or whatever this hot tri chick wants to book us for? b) who is in? If I get a head count I will be able to make reservations especially if we are over 10...

looks like the two old farts are in, and little man chris (cbost) is in...who else? Dinner at 5 pm Saturday night.

Another good place is the Big River Brewery...but the pasta on the menu may be limited.  It is located Downtown too so it should be easy to get to after the expo.  If we want pasta, then Carraba's sounds good.

hope that sounds good Lane, its your birthday so you get to pick. And I will be ready for retirement by the time they decide...besides carabbas was like 12 minutes out. I went online and they didn't have a lot of local places.

If you guys want to bring money and put in a beer order. I am having my friend Melissa and her brother (he lives there) jockstrap for us BTErs (and baby sit my son Parker..lol). They will bring a few big coolers and we can give them money Saturday night and they can have the beer ice cold in a cooler for us at the finish.

Lane I will buy a six pack for you for your birthday, so you are covered....

Corona light with some cut fresh limes please uh, I am kidding about the lime, I could get my own, freeze and cut them and stick them in a baggie and give them to her if she joins us for dinner if I really want them. Or Michelob Ultra is they don't have Coronas

Chris, are you, Parker and Melissa joining us for sat. night dinner?

Chris (bost)

I think we call Lane when we get to town and see where he is...and I left my cell phone for the other folks on here to call us if they want to join us at pick up or dinner...

and either the other chris can call us when he gets to town or we call him...I am not sure if he is going just with Parker yet or Melissa too or if he wants to ride with us but figured unless he says something, he will just call us then too.

I thought the race was great today. Had a ton of fun. I looked for BT'ers but didn't see any. I was on WAY too tight of a schedule though.

Anyone else think it was hot out there? I'm pretty sure those were the hottest race (tri)conditions yet for me.

Hope everyone had a great time.
