mama bear signed up yesterday, her first triathlon. No backing out now, get in that pool and swim.

Ditto Monica (mingram). Who else is going to join us? Nice easy beginner-oriented race, benefits a great cause.

I am in! And sooooo ready. My mom volunteered at the Perrett Cancer place for a year after my aunt died. It is a really good cause. They are great people! Where does the bike ride go, Bear? And where is the pool? OHhhhh, I am so excited!!!

This was my first last year.  Really wish we could make it so that I could have my first repeat race.  It's doubtful at this point, but you never know.

Pool is behind ULL's Bourgeois Hall, on Cajundome Boulevard right off of Johnston. Bike route is a two-lap course, you go out on Cajundome Boulevard to Eraste Landry, left there, then a left into a subdivision on Robert Lee Circle. That gets you back to Eraste Landry, then you go back on Cajundome to Bourgeois Hall. Then you do it again.

Run goes down Cajundome Boulevard, takes a right at the Cajundome, then another right back toward a turnaround at Blackham Colesium before the finish at the Cajundome.

Good news is that the bike is only 8.5 miles and the run is only 1.75, despite being advertised as 10 & 2! Bad news is it's usually hot as Ηεζζ.

Actually I was tired of looking at Jeremy's post for the  Boudreaux's Butt Paste race, so I bumped this to the top.

Less than a week to go, everyone ready? Any new entrants besides monica and mama bear and moi?

My partner Megan (mkterrell) will be joining us for the fun... getting nervous, but just keep remembering that DFL is better than DNF which is better than DNS. but still getting very nervous...
