Netflix is so much better in the US vs. Canada.

I like cycling to American Flyers.  It's old but some good hill climbing competitive scenes.  Or Breaking Away - you can race with him against the transport truck.  I think these are both on the US system.

I have trouble watching hour long shows when I'm on my trainer. So I tend to watch things like SNL or Trigger Happy TV. IM Europe has a series that I just got done watching on youtube.

If somebody is looking for a good TV series on Netflix check out Freaks and Geeks. There's only one season but it is very well written with tons of big time actors.

Sons of Anarchy. Only issue is that I have a 6 year old daughter and if she comes in my pain cave I have to shoo her out immediately so she doesn't see someone getting shot!  SoA is the perfectly paced show to ride with.

Until season 5 of SoA gets up, Breaking Bad is next in my list to start.

I've done most of my riding on the trainer in the garage watching either Netflix streaming or Dvd.

Series I've completed or are up to date on:

  • Lost-good overall and entertaining but with some slow times
  • Breaking Bad-excellent
  • Mad Men-easy to keep up with
  • American Horror Story 1st season-pretty good..kind of weird
  • Walking Dead-May be my favorite..along with Breaking Bad
  • Suits-just finished the first season. I like it
  • Men of a Certain Age-Funny...about to start 2nd season
  • Scrubs-great TV series
  • How I Met Your Mother-good long running series

There may be others but I just can't remeber them right now. Another really good series is The Wire. Police drama set in Baltimore. I'm working my way through it and in season 3 right now. Watched the first disc of Game of Thrones but not commited to that yet....depends on what else comes out over the next few months

I'll have 1-2 TV series going at any point in my Netflix que and mix in movies/documentaries or sitcoms when I need a break from a series.

- Hell on Wheels

- Asian movies with subtitles. Keeps me distracted from the pain since I have to read everything.

- If you have not seen Ong Back: Thai Warrior - do it now! 1 and 2nd, 3rd one is too weird.

popsracer - 2013-01-21 9:19 PM This winter I've been watching old episodes of Star Trek.  I'm about half way through my goal of watching all three seasons.

Me too! Great way to catch up on important Star Trek knowledge

Just finished watching "The Reef" - very gripping and suspenseful.  Really picked up the pace when the adrenalin started flowing.  Just had to be careful I didn't tip over during the scary parts.  Fastest 88 minute workout I've had in a while!
