dmbfan4life20 - 2013-05-14 4:37 PM I'll be there on Sunday. I just got back from a 4 day-220mile bike ride so I am feeling confident about the bike (not fast but I will finish). I'll be with the Harford Multisport club and will have a team kit on. I'll probably be the one sitting under a tree praying before the event starts   Anyone know what the water temps are right now? I am hoping to get as close to 70 as possible since its been so cold lately.

I heard 66 on Monday, so I wouldn't expect much different from that.

I guess that is not too bad. I only have a sleeveless wetsuit so I shouldnt be too cold I don't think

I have scaled back performance expectations.  Was not really looking forward to racing this weekend but that seems to have turned around.  Now hoping to have a great time if not a great race.

I have never raced in bad weather before. Weather is calling for thunderstorms on race day. What would happen if it was a thunderstorm with thunder and lightning?? would it be cancelled or delayed? if people are out on the bike course and that starts, what then? Just curious as to what would happen if the weather gets severe. Anyone know??

I think we will be okay as far as weather goes. They are only calling for a chance and typically May is one of those months where they always call for Isolated thunderstorms.

PR overall, but I really ran slow. The hills killed me.

My first triathlon of the season! Had a PR by about 6 minutes. I went in thinking the bike course was going to be slow, but the downhills really helped you get up the next hill. I thought the run course was a KILLER. The rain didn't help either. Overall great race and congratulations to everyone who raced in the conditions.
