I found them last year after having a horrible experience with perform at Racine. I really like the product they make, that and this is a funny commercial. http://youtu.be/BPBggWHaEK4

That's great! I just received a free sample of their mix this week. I'm curious to see how it tastes.

Ive been using their products since they went "public".  The SDM has been used for many years in the pro peloton in lieu of a lot of riders sponsors products ( it was secretly replaced). It was called secret drink mix aka SDM. It is worth every penny.  I like all of their flavors but prefer lemon limes. I started using it when I just couldnt take HEED any more.  SDM desolves completely and you dont get guy rot like you do with HEED. SDM has an everyday hydration mix also.  HEED just sucked so it had to go.

If you all dont know who Dr. Allen Lim is I would reccomend you do a little google research it would be well worth your time. He and Chef Biju Thomas also have a cook book called The Feed Zone. Everyone loves the rice cakes ( i dumped my hammer gels in lieu of the rice cakes)but there hasnt been a recipie in the book that I woulnt cook again. Ive cooked my way through the book 3-4 times now and love it.

I think the sale runs until tuesday for 20% off. You wont regret it.  Im  not affiliated with them I just love their stuff if you cant tell.

X2 on the Feed Zone cook book and the rice cakes. They are a little bit of a pain to make and wrap, but they are awesome on a long bike ride.

funny, right before this thread I just ordered the sample mix to try out as I am having trouble drinking EFS during rides and need to nail nutrition for my HIM

I like Lim's theory of drink your electrolytes and eat your calories

never heard of it but sounds interesting, will be ordering some samples. I've tried a few other mixes and haven't like any of them.

userlocation - 2013-02-04 12:52 PM I really enjoy their product. I found Gatorade gave me huge burps when I used it whereas Skratch just felt right. I wouldn't say I can taste it much though. It's more that I don't taste the plastic water bottle as much.

that is what I am counting on - subtle flavor  - since recently even diluted EFS I cannot choke down and forget gatorade - it burns my throat

TriToy I think you will really like there stuff. One thing I like is there are only about 11 Ingredients and I know and can pronounce them.

For most drinks I am an Orange fan, but the Skratch labs did not seem there for me in terms of taste. (More like water taste for me) I do like the Lemon Lime, but it does get pricey.

I received a sample of the pineapple with my recent order. Skratchlabs sends you a few singles free when you order direct from them. It was really good. Im not a pineapple person for the most part but this was really good.

Interesting how Skratch is the hot new thing. Their stuff is simply sugar water, fruit juice and some basic minerals. Just like the original sports drinks decades ago. Now we've come back full circle and it's some "revolutionary" product. (snicker)

I picked up my first bag of Lemon Lime from the LBS yesterday and tried it on todays 2 hour trainer ride. So far the best stuff I have found. Usually I was using water only since all other powders tasted like crap to me.

the difference is the original gatorade now has all sorts of crap in it - including fire retardant.
