Fit/Budget first, then brand, color, what I knew others had and loved etc.

weiky - 2013-03-18 8:12 AM I went to the LBS leaning toward the QR Seduza, got my first fitting and the bikes that would work best for me was the QR, Felt B12 & KestrEl 4000. took all three out for about a 3 mile ride and the Felt was the hands down best ride. So I got the Felt.

Had a new B16 got about a weel and love it. Even rides awesome on the trainer! #feltmafia

I found a deal on a used bike on eBay that I'm about 99% certain will fit.

Get fitted.  I went through two bikes over 10 years that I liked but never really fit right.  You can adjust those, but my last bike I spent the $200 bucks to do the retul system and then ended up with a Shiv that I had no intention of buying (previous bikes where Cervelo's) and this thing fits like a glove.    (I rode three bikes with high stack/short reach setups and inside of 10 minutes I knew whick bike I would buy).

Best money I ever spent.

I looked at my favorite one AND it also happened to also fit me, which is rare.

I can't complain, a great fitting bike that ALSO happened to be my favorite bike at that time.  That never happens to me.  Usually the thing I like never fits (mostly clothes).

Panda_Jack - 2013-03-17 12:49 AM I had a professional fitting done and then picked from the list of bikes that fit me and in my price range.

Ditto. And I got a great deal because I purchased the bike in Oct when they were clearing for the 2013 models. I ended up with a 2012 Felt B12.

meggfishy - 2013-03-16 6:48 PM Cervelo was running a huge promotion, I test rode the P2, it fit well, and I bought it!

Me too except I bought over the phone. Didn't even know if it fit.  Heck for $1,000 off I could always sell it for what I paid.
