What would you do differently?: I'm always very slow in T1. I need to improve this time.  Bike
Transition 2
What would you do differently?: Work on exit from the bike.  Run
What would you do differently?: Control my first mile better. Post race
Warm down: None. I'm lazy. Event comments: I would definitely recommend the race. It's for a great cause, I love women-only events, and it was a nice course and race overall. That said, there were lots of volunteers but they didn't know anything so when you asked them a question, none of them had an answer. Quite often they didn't know where to send you to get the answer either. There was also a general air of chaos. And while I was told by multiple women that the organization is worlds better than it was for the past couple of years, I feel like by the 10th anniversary running you would have some of those kinks worked out. It was way better than last year as far as organization- they didn;t run out of water this time, for one thing. we figured out a trick- park at the radisson hotel and walk back instead of dealing with that shuttle nonsense.

I know a month has passed and you may not read this, but if you do, thanks for all the congratulations. The run is obviously my strongest event. I'm a runner by training. Now I just need to get my bike and swim up to par. This was my first Danskin, but to the earlier poster, I believe they do hold it at the same place every year. I'm undecided if I'll do it again next year. My mom will do her first tri next year and she's thinking of doing Danskin in Denver. She's asked me to do it with her so if she settles on Denver I'll do that one instead. Otherwise I may try to convince her to come out here. If I do it again next year, I'd love to meet up with some other BTers. I hope you all enjoyed your race as well and thanks again for the nice congrats. Kelly |
