Started out swimming side by side w/ eventual fastest swimmer (8:14), She dropped me and I hooked up with 2nd fastest swimmer- a girl I've known since I was 11 but haven't seen in years, she now swims at Northeren Iowa University. Drafted for a while, but we caught up to the slower half of the heat before us right after the turn bouy, she made it though them, but I wasnt so lucky in dodging

work the second 200yrds harder

Eek! first time with clipless pedals, took me a while to get my right pedal clipped in, but worked pretty well

Have shoes on bike, run jump on bike, etc

I have the balls to go fast down hilss, but i am not super strong up them. HOWEVER, I can tell that I'm etting better.

Slow. Legs were burnt up and thought I was going to have calf cramps. I just shuffle along. I never walked but I might as well have. Everyone that I passed on the swim and bike, passed me on the run. I was probably passed by (including men and women, short and long) 60 people. No joke.

GO faster.
