Just wanted to mention that I heard talk, by a reliable person at this race, that the next Multirace Trilogy race would be back out on the main road and not limited to Lamb Road like 5-5-13.  Many of us hope that this talk is true and we get to ride the Rickenbacher again. Thanks

Congrats on your race.  I did the sprint and other than the bike, I loved the venue.  Are you hearing just the bike route will be changed or will the whole event move back?  I hope it's just the bike.

amd723--Thank you for your kind words and contgrats on doing such a fine effort while sick.

Unless I got it wrong, the change will be in just the bike route.  I personally do not like running through soft beach sand and pulled my left tensor fascia lata that day.  I saw a friend of mine fall in the same sand ahead of me. That run is WAY different if is or has been raining. Me and MaryLotus did that run once when it was very muddy. :-(

IMO--

1. THE best site for the Key Biscayne race WAS Marine Stadium==because the swim was always in the protected Marine Stadium Bay AND the run was almost all in the shade of the trees on both sides of the run path. There we could run and swim without interfering with any other groups, had plenty of great/paved/close parking and wide open expansive transition area right at the shore.  The bike route could be changed so as NOT to go over the problematic Bear Cut Bridge (the bridge PAST /south of Marine Stadium and Virginia Key venues).

2. Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park (at the south end of Key Biscayne) could make a GREAT alternative tri race venue with its wide open beach and miles of secluded paved roads for the run and ride. Once again, IMO.
