Welcome!  Niantic is a very well run race.  There are usually a few of us BTers who volunteer at it.  Have you signed up for your first race yet?

Good luck and have fun!

Yes, Niantic will sell out towards the end of the year. You should check out the Lake Terramuggus Sprint series. They are every other Thursday and a great way to get some no pressure experience. And very inexpensive. You can even go and just watch everything happen one week.

Hi Gabriela - Welcome to CT BT!

I think we met at the OWS last Wednesday night in West Haven (Bob from Orange).
Learning to ride with clipless pedals is definitely a challenge. I've taken a few slow motion/no motion falls.

I'm sure i'll run into you at one the group OWS or rides.
I'll send you my contact info via PM.

Good Luck on the bike !!

~Bob

Hi Gabriella! I hope you find fun training and racing. There's quite a few of us from CT on this site. I'm the resident bike geek and if you have any bike questions,I'll chime in with my opinion.

Have fun!

Welcome. The Litchfield Hills Olympic distance tri (New Hartford, CT) is also a great race. It's run by the Hartford Marathon folks. This year's race is in a few weeks, so it's probably one that you may want to pencil in on your calendar for next year. I've done it for the past few years and really enjoy that one.

Good luck, and maybe I'll see ya'll next year.

welcome to the fantastic world of Tri in CT!

I love Lake T's series and would strongly recommend it-it was my first sprint tri last year, ever
(of course, my first triathlon was at the Quassy 1/2 IM and my second IM at Lake Placid last year, so don't go by me for easing into things)

I'll look for you at Lake T
