Subject: PSA: Practice in your tri shorts often...you may have lost weight! I've been training the last few months for an aquathon I did yesterday. My open water swims have been at a lake that requires a short walk from the car and run path on a little trail not ideal for running. Since there's a forced break between swim and run, I've just been swimming in my 2 piece racing suit and changing to running shorts. Mistake! Yesterday racing in my favorite tri shorts, I dove in and water began to fill the shorts. Ugh. This was the first race of the season without a wet suit so I guess they just plain don't fit as well as they did the past 3 seasons since I bought them. They've been totally fine for riding and running. Just a friendly reminder to always do at least one training session leading up to your race in what you plan to wear on race day. It may not feel the same as it did last season! |
