It has been over a year since I built this custom bike rack for the city trail.  We finally got it put in place, and now I have to put a bench on the same pad and the donor brick set in the concrete.

Thanks.  My wife wants one at our house also.  I am currently working on another one for a school/city basketball court and sitting area near our middle school.  It will probably not be blue.

The one I am going to start designing for home will use .50" washers, so I can run rope lights through it and have it setup on a timer.  At least that is what I have in my brain.  Trying to make it work is a completely different story, because what I think should work and what does actually work is not always the same.

I can't stop thinking about how nice that would look in my living room, against exposed brick, with my red and black Cervelo R3.

Drool!

I could make it with some type of mounts to put it on the brick wall with anchors and then it could be on the wall and you could lean the R3 against it.

I received the go ahead to build the second one for the community area near the downtown and the middle school over the weekend and was asked about possibly making more for throughout the same community.  Time for me to get busy on hobby related items.  Maybe a long leave from work is in order.  My boss would hate it, but my employees would love it.

Thanks.  I will post pictures in a few weeks, when we are scheduled to put in the next group of 5 benches on the trail.

Here is bike-man II after being zinc plated.  I really wish this one could be just clear coated, but that is not going to happen.  They want this one black to match the black chain link fence around the basketball hoops that keep the basketballs out of the street.  This would look awesome on a dark wall.

I love these!

You really do amazing work - I'm so glad they're going up in parks for everyone to see and use!

Thanks Monica.  We have had good compliments from people in the community on our new small trail and "progressive" art work.  :-)

Here it is in gloss black powder coat.  Taking this to the trail for a photo shoot after work for the small local paper.  They want a picture of this one, with the one that is already in concrete on the walking/biking trail.

I quickly browsed an article in Men's Health that talked about doing a triathlon, and how it wasn't really that hard. With a "tsk!" I quickly turned the page while thinking, "Yeah, right!"

By gradually running for increasingly longer periods on a softer surface, you will learn the technique and come to realize the benefits in injury prevention and speed.
