A friend/neighbor of mine posted this yesterday:

Dear Teacher wife and school aged kids,

Get the hell out of the house!

Love,
Work at home Dad

P.S. It was a fantastic summer, great memories. But I really, really have to get back to work.

Very funny!

Ha I can see where he comes from. I am on the other side of the aisle. I manage a laboratory at a university, while during the summer I have peace and quiet not only in my lab but around the halls/campus however I loose my students to do all my grunt work (hey I was a student once too!!)

But I guess I wouldn't have a job without the students. It is nice to have a few month break from them, most of them are good hard working individuals.

This was posted in my local paper's "Opinion Line" today - NOT FROM ME! But I thought of it when I opened this thread.

If you are thankful school has started because you cannot stand your own teenager, please know that as a parent you have failed. Anyone who can’t stand their own kids surely can’t expect anyone else to put up with them either.

I know where he is coming from. I work from home and there is nothing like being on a conference call with a house full of girls singing Karaoke in another room.

Wow- this is the first work related Karaoke story I have heard that did not involve a business trip to Japan or a limo.

I find this is occurring after almost every workout. The pattern is always the same: freezing 10 min after a workout and 2 hours to warm up again. I am not sick. My diet is healthy.

Training for endurance athletics can be a complicated time gobbling monster. This is an understatement for the majority of us that are trying to juggle a full time job and/or school with training.
