WOW. was really rooting for Mo to catch him! I thought it was going to happen. Haile sets a WR for his age group and comes in a distant 3rd. wow. |

I though Mo had him, with his closing track speed but no dice! |

Regular 5477 LHOTP | Subject: RE: Bupa Great North Run 2013 - Last Mile at Men's Half Marathon That was AWESOME! I love it when the camera angle goes to the side and you can see these guys' strides. What in the hell? They're incredible. It is truly beautiful to watch humans do something they are so perfectly designed to do. I happened to get into an elevator once at the Chicago marathon with a couple of elite Kenyan women. I was standing inches from one, and her thigh was not too much bigger than my forearm. Riiiiiiight. It's all clear to me now. |

Origi Yes--perfect :) So what is amazing to me is how much of their stride is behind them. I don't know if that makes sense. Their strides look big, but none of it happens out front. That's the thing that always impresses me about those side shots. I've never looked at video of me running, but I know it doesn't look anything like that.nally posted by Asalzwed Originally posted by switch That was AWESOME! Wow. Just wow. |
