Ok, I hate when people in movies don't think of the obvious things to take or do. Example: Day After Tomorrow - 3 guys in a pick-up truck headed into the storm of the century. They pack all their gear and know the truck isn't going to make it far. It seems they have an unlimited budget. Snowmobiles? Anyone? What are YOUR thoughts?

I never understood why people went into the water with that ominous Jaws theme music playing in the background.  One would think that ominous music usually spells bad things and that perhaps they should call it a day instead of heading into the ocean.

All villains in James Bond Movies. Its simple, if you want to hold the world to ransom and be the most powerful man in the world, just put a bullet in the brain of 007, James Bond. Dont leave him tied up while slowly being dropped into a shark tank, HE WILL ESCAPE. Just pull the damn trigger and be done with it.

The lead detective is a hard drinking divorced guy that lives and breaths police work and still holds a candle for his former wife who would take him back if he'd only take and desk job and give up the booze. Yeah, right. So cliche.

Oh, and if you're a young detective... NEVER accept an assignment as a partner to this guy 'cause you're either going to get KILLED or shot and wounded requiring a period where your survival will be touch and go but you'll eventually pull through near the end of the investigation but probably won't be able to return to the force.

Eli Wallach in "The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly" had the perfect line for this situation.  He was sitting in the bathtub when a bad guy comes in to shoot him.  Bad guy goes into big speech about how good this revenge is.  While he's blabbering away, Wallach has a gun under the soap bubbles and he drills him before the bad guy can finish, then gives his classic line..."When you got to shoot, SHOOT, don't talk!"

Yeah, as they said in the Incredibles - if you're a bad guy, don't monologue.

OH, and if you're ever on the Star Ship Enterprise, Never let them give you a Red or Yellow Security Shirt unless the Capt or other crew refers to you directly by name and NOT "Security Officer Cohen, etc" If you're one of those, you're just screwed!

How about the metalic "click, click" sound you hear when somebody points a gun? They didn't cock the hammer or rack the slide, they just pointed it at somebody and "click, click."

"The Simpsons" did a funny parody of this in one episode. It was an old west scene and some pioneers encountered some indians. The pioneers pointed guns with the sound effect. The indians pointed bows and arrows back with the same sound effects!

I cannot remember the title of the movie, it was either called, "Red Eye" or "Flight Plan"...I think it was "Red Eye"...Anyhow, it was the movie with Rachel McAdams (Not Jodie Foster).....

The HUGE movie mistake that I am thinking of is more like a HUGE movie cliche. You know?...the part where the good guys/girls are being chased by the bad guys and they run "UPSTAIRS!!!"...You know that is the absolute worst move ever!!! Anyhow, Rachel McAdams, while she is being chased by the bad guy doesn't only run upstairs once, but she allows this idiot to chase her up there again (After she jumps out of the window and goes back down to ground level. She runs upstairs 2 times!!!

I just looked at my wife in disgust after that happened in the movie...I did not enjoy that movie one bit.

Actually, both of those airplane movies were pretty bad. I would avoid them if you could.

Well, duh, how ELSE could you be sure that the corpse isn't actually some class of un-dead that only wakes up at night?
