Help decide my costume for IronGirl Columbia

Subject: Help decide my costume for IronGirl Columbia

Yesterday, I was talking to my Tri club VP about what we're going to do about the water station at IronGirl Columbia in August.

He said that he was thinking about doing a Village People themed water station.

I'm down for that.  Nothing beats dressing up totally crazy and handing out water to 2000 hot women.

So, 2 things:

1.  I need help deciding which village person to be.  The construction worker is already taken (VP has already decided going to be him).  Which other village person should I go as?

2.  I don't have any accoutrements for any of the characters and don't want to spend a lot of cash to pull this off.  So, if anyone has a suggestion for what I could do to mimic the look for cheap or has something they're willing to lend (I'll dry clean it before returning), let me know.

 

Edit:  I promise (or threaten?) to post pics from the station after the race.

I think the cowboy. You have jeans, and the vest, bandana, and hat can be found for really cheap at any thrift store. You can pick up another pair of jeans at the thrift store as well and make them into cutoffs. It goes with the theme anyway and you won't be as hot.

I love race costumes!!!

Military man. Ladies love a guy in uniform. besides, getting a uniform shouldn't be too hard. I see people walking around in them shorts and stuff all the time.

I like Comet's cowboy idea.  Make sure the cutoffs are Village People style short though, ok?  Let the ladies see some skin above the knee!

I'm disappointed that your poll has no option for "Cheerleader" or something similar.  Any kind of costume requiring high heels is probably out, but I think a pleated skirt and tight sweater would be very chic.

So, I put in my name today to be the cowboy.

Now I just need to go shopping for the outfit.  I'm just so glad that I'm down to a normal size so that I might be able to go shopping at goodwill or some other thrift store.
