Subject: Happy New Year Duathletes!
Well known Ontario duathlete Larry Bradley has been working hard to convince us that there are enough duathletes wanting a Half Iron Duathlon for our Niagara Falls Half Iron. We listened and have responded.

We were going to add and open registration to the Niagara Falls Half Iron Duathlon on January 9th. Well we have been able to get the registration page built sooner than we hoped and registration is NOW OPEN! There will be an Early Bird Fee until January 31st!

Part of the discussion with Larry was that there will need to be at least 25 confirmed registrants for the Duathlon by March 1, 2014. If we do not hit this deadline, the Duathlon will have to be cancelled. Registration (minus a small admin fee) will be returned if we fail to make the numbers.

I hope this once again shows that MSC supports Triathlon and DUATHLON in Ontario.

The website will be updated on Monday to reflect the 5km Run, 90km Bike and 21.1km Run. The 5km Run will be in Welland.

For most people, there is a story in how they came to the sport as beginners. Some of the most inspiring of those beginner tales begin with health scares.

To help implement your resolutions (or those of your friends and family members), I recommend the following books, most of which are written by nutrition experts: registered dietitians (RD).

It’s just so discouraging to know that within a few more weeks those New Years’ Resolutionists are going to quietly disappear.
