As of Sunday I have completed 125.36 miles with 100 of them coming from my race on the 1st and 2nd of the month. All the other miles have been easy paced recovering from the race but I am feeling good to day and plan to hammer out 10 miles or so later this morning.

Been somewhat of a slow week for me last week after the 25k. I'm currently at 37 miles for the month.

congrats on the PR, I miss racing seems winter is never going to let up

Thanks. Thankfully living in Florida I don't have to ride the trainer much. I'm sitting at 52 miles for the month after 14 miles with marathon pace work last night. Now under 2 weeks until my goal marathon my miles are going to start to decline.

Out for 10 cold and snowy miles today. I was spoiled the last week running in Florida but now it is back to reality.

Okay, through Sunday's updates, this is where I have everyone. Good job everyone, keep it up!

Ron/navbtcret: Has run about 8 million miles. Already at 125.36 before his 10 mile run today. Nice job on the 100 miler!
Robert/rjrankin83: Already knocked out 52 while tapering for a late Feb marathon
Christina/MechEChick: Rocking out at 37 miles on the way to an Ironman.
Brad/MSU_Brad: 33.5 miles. I'm just a little behind schedule, as I had an Achilles flare up this weekend and my legs were just drained.
Ben/morsebj: In for 33 already!
SGirl: 30 miles...on her way to a half marathon
Matt/mambos: Knocked out 27 miles thus far
LeCrac/James: in for 18

Nancy/el_penguino: MIA
scottjjmtri99: MIA

I hope I got everyone, and got them right. Looking forward to the next update on Sunday!

Keep it up everyone! I'm feeling good about this month as well. As of last night, I'm halfway to the challenge mark at 50 miles. I should be at 52, but I was short on time yesterday, so I bailed out after only 2 miles. I'm trying to get an average of 4 every day. I'll get caught up (and hopefully ahead) over the weekend.

I've taken a few days off of biking on the trainer, too, in order to get rested up a little bit for a hard charge.

I reached 31 miles last week, which puts me back to where I wanted to be on weekly running. My goal is to stay in this range even as tri training starts to pick up, probably will be mostly easy running but the consistency is what I am after. For the month I am sitting at 58 miles.

Here's our second update. We've only got one person over the 100 mile marker thus far, and he did it all in one day! Another is very close, and will knock it out before this week is over.

Ron/navbtcret: A little under the weather this week, still knocked out 61.44 for a total of 186.80 miles already this month.
Robert/rjrankin83: 30 miles this week as he loosens up for his marathon. Great job, and good luck on the race. 82 for the month
Brad/MSU_Brad: 30.5 miles in the past week. I'm dead on overall pace to average 4 per day (my original goal), at 64 miles for the month right now.
Matt/mambos: Had a nice week with 31 miles, now at 58 for the month!
Ben/morsebj: Added another 22 miles to be at 55 for the month.
Christina/MechEChick: If I've done my math right, 17 miles this week to get to 54 for the month.
SGirl: 30 miles - no update this week.
LeCrac/James: 18 miles - no update this week.
scottjjmtri99: Fighting off back issues, starting to get moving at 6 miles.

Nancy/el_penguino: MIA

I hope I got everyone, and got them right. Looking forward to seeing everyone's updates next Sunday or Monday for their weekly totals. We're over halfway through this short month!

Out of curiosity, how far off are marathon pace and ultra pace? I'm doing my first 50 miler in April

In addition to writing your race number on each upper arm, they also wrote your age on your calf. This allowed me to see who was passing me by in the bike section of this race.

I think quite truly for the first time I 'get it'. It's not just about the fitness. It's not just about the great little endorphin rush as you hit 5, 10, 15 miles...its not just the medal at the end.
