I enjoyed keeping track of my mileage in January through a 100 mile challenge post, so I thought I would organize one here as well. Similar to January, if you want to participate, post your name, your nickname, anything you want us to know, and your goal for the month. Additionally, try to post a weekly summary of your mileage each Sunday, and I'll summarize on Monday or so. We'll start this coming Sunday (Feb 9), so that one will have a little over a week's worth of running.

I'm Brad (MSU_Brad), I'm still working on improving my running as it is my weak link in tris, and I am dealing with two sore Achilles right now. My goal for this month is 4 miles per day on average, which would put me at 112 miles.

Feel free to join in if you want!

Thanks Brad! I'm in again.

I'm Christina (MechEChick), my Ironman training starts this month, so I'm trying to stay healthy and sane for now. My goal this month is 100, ideally to hit the same mileage as last month of 105.

Let's go February.

You know I am in on a running challenge. My name is Ron and I already have over 100 miles for the month so I will shoot for 250. I ran a 100 miler this past weekend and have done two miles so far each day since.

Christina the race was tough, very hot during the day in south Florida through sugar cane fields mostly. It was good running for a while after the sun went down but the around midnight a thick heavy fog set in and made it tough the run where the footing was sketchy. All said and done I finished in 22 hours and 36 minutes and was the overall winner of the 100 mile race. The best part was the skydive from 14,000 feet and then getting out of the jump gear and start running.

That's killer. I was following the process via the FUR facebook page. Awesome job.

I'm in for February also. I ran 170 in Janurary and my goal will be probably around 150-160 this month. I'm doing a long taper to my goal marathon on the 23rd, as well as trying to continue my bike fitness.

sounds like you had a great race! And to get overall winner that's fantastic, congratulations!

I am in for another month! My name is Matt and my goal will be to reach 110 miles as I work to create consistency and balance in my training. The distance will start slow but I have several back to back trail runs later in the month that will add up quickly.

Got 4 miles in today, I am feeling so much better after this 100 miler than I did after my last one.

That is awesome! Good work Ron!

I'm started the month with a 25k and then a long track workout and am sitting at 27 miles so far. Will add a couple tonight with a brick workout.

I don't think I can make 100 miles this month, but I'll be close. I'm definitely up for next month if I don't make it this month!

good of you to do this, Brad

I will lurk, but not make 100M with my calf injury. I plan to be smart and ease back very, very slowly.
Best of luck to all!

It was really fun 'meeting' you all. Congrats to Ron on an awesome run and 1OA. Wow!

8.1 miles today. No long run this week though because I will be driving back to Pennsylvania from Florida. That may be a good thing though, let these legs recover just a bit more.

In on this. I've run 24.05 miles so far this month, going for a longer run today. I'm signed up for a HM, and gradually upping my mileage for this month so I can stay on track with eventually running 10+ milers at one shot, come end of March/early April.

January's thread was fun, let's keep it going! Good luck everyone.

Me: 6.03 miles today! It wasn't a great run, but I did it. I think I was dehydrated.

In addition to writing your race number on each upper arm, they also wrote your age on your calf. This allowed me to see who was passing me by in the bike section of this race.

I think quite truly for the first time I 'get it'. It's not just about the fitness. It's not just about the great little endorphin rush as you hit 5, 10, 15 miles...its not just the medal at the end.
