I put a triathlon on my bucket list about a year ago and picked the Syracuse Half, because I have family in the area. I bought a road bike and took swim lessons.

I've run marathons before, but I'm finding this three event thing is a whole different game! Training's going well. The swim is my very weak point and my goal is to just not drown. I'll start at the back of my wave and try to avoid getting run over by the follow on waves.

I'm looking for a group to do longer training rides with, perhaps up in N. GA. I'm a teacher and off for the summer, so being able to train on Wed. or Thurs. would be even better.

This is really something of a reintroduction as I've been on BT for about 10 years, but was AWOL for the last few. Working to get back in shape in hopes of participating in a race later in the summer/fall of this year.

Good luck with your first Sprint. I set mine in Florida too, the St. Anthony's in St. Pete. I tried to pick the flattest place I could find

Not sure I could manage the hills in North GA but I do like the Comet Trail. If you ever want another rider, I am available on weekends once it gets over 55 degrees
