Wild Goose Chase 5k - Run

Comments: 3.5 min run/1.5 min walk, last 4:45 running. What would you do differently?: Drink some Gatorade and/or eat a banana or 2 before race. Got a bad cramp in my calf. Didn't slow me down but was pretty uncomfortable. Post race
Warm down: Walking around, had some oranges & H20, then sat around waiting for awards. What limited your ability to perform faster: Calf cramp. Also felt like I could have run longer and walked less than I did. Event comments: Small race to honor memory of a guy whose nickname was Goose. Mostly local runners who know each other. Very pretty state park, lots of birds but no geese!! Felt a little sore going in because of walking on the beach the day before, but overall, pretty good. Last updated: 2014-05-08 12:00 AM

Bagel (whole wheat, PB&J), large coffee
Pretty chilly prior to race so mostly sat in the car to stay warm. Did a little jogging 15 min before, stretches while waiting to start.
