Great bike split! I thought there would be more yelling in the no passing zone, but it was civil.

I almost dropped my mason jar twice from sweaty hands.

Pretty sure I already lost the mason jar. So During the fog delay I was sitting with the kids that where going to work the water stops. after goofing around with them for a while I say "Can you you do me a favor when I come by let me know how far the leader is ahead of me" they laugh and get a kick out of it. when I come to their water stop (Mile 1) I say "Well where is the leader". they say back "Crap I thought you where joking, your doing really well"

I was the guy in shark and fish outfit. Was cheering on people at the 1.5 mile mark of the run after I was done

I was passing others who were saying, "Good job, 587" (that was my race number). People were cheering me on. These were the nicest people I have ever been around!

From couch potato to a tri in 8 weeks. It was the most fun I've had in a long time. The race organizers had it down and there were no problems at all. This was the perfect first tri, in my opinion.
