I would love to meet up Saturday but I have a lot of family to visit so I'm a "Maybe". You guys pick the place and I will do my best to make it.

I wish I would have ordered some tatoos so we can spot eachother.  I still have no idea what I'm wearing on race day but I will be the fat girl that looks like she is scared to death!!

Ok, I just used mapQuest to look at restraunts near the host hotel and the only obvious place to get pasta that was very close, .2 mile was Uno Chicago Grill. So, unless a local steps up and proposes something different i'm proposing to meet in the Lobby of the host hotel at 5:30 and walk over to Uno's for dinner at 6:00.

Unlike sunday morning, I will not be wearing black neoprine but I will wear my New Mexico Outlaws visor.

No neoprene to dinner- come on, that would be hot! (literally...)

I like pilgrims plan. I'll call Uno's and see if they take reservations. I'll be bouncing around the lobby with waaay too much energy.

How about Oreganos?

It is at 523 W. University. They have a bigger selection of pasta and a big patio area.

I'm fine with either. If it isn't decided on the board then we can figure it out in the lobby.

How did Tempe get that big funky N arrow pasted on it, Albuquerque doesn't have one

Albuquerque just has a big "A" or a route 66. LOL

That would be cool if you guys go to Oregano's, because I think that's where about 20 other people from ABQ. are going.

Sounds like a plan to me. It seems like Oregano's will get max participation and it has the endorsement of a local.

So, still meet up in the lobby of the host hotel at 5:30 to shoot for a 6:00 dinner?

Also- does anyone know if we can swim in the lake on saturday?

Yup the swim course will be available for a practice swim on Saturday from 1-3.

I will try to join you folk for dinner, however then I will have to pass on my usual McDonalds prerace meal. I'm a sucker for toyland what can I say! I Hope nobody is competing in the 1/2 IM ~ M-25-29 AG, if so you might find yourself poisoned with a laxative haha.

About 75% sure I can make it unless the guys from the club decide to get together.

If I don't meet good luck everyone ~ have fun!

Also, everyone realizes Sat. night is day light savings time. However Arizona doesn't recognize this, we run on the same clock year around.

some gee whiz for you.

My husband Zac and I should be able to make it to the dinner. We're visiting with a friend in the early afternoon, then I'm planning on going to the 4pm race meeting. Looks like it will be real easy to head over to the hotel right after that meeting. Most likely I'll be wearing a purple Tucson Tri Girls shirt that day.

Tempe Courtyard by Marriott, located at 601 South Ash Avenue, website: http://marriott.com/property/propertypage/PHXTE

From google earth, it looks like Rio Salado pkwy intersects with Ash ave and it's about 2 blocks from there. Can't wait to meet everyone!
