The series will be based upon distances of a one kilometre bike, 60-km swim and 10-km run for a single loop and two-km swim, 90-km bike and 20-km run for a double loop. A wee bit of a typo in the paper... Extreme Veteran 1704   Penticton, BC | Subject: RE: Three lakes triathlon series 2015 A friend and I were seriously considering the Cultus Lake option by three lakes but we finally settled on Joe Dixon's Oliver 1km/54km/10km event on the same day as his Oliver Half (June 7th). We'll keep an eye on the three lakes events and maybe try one next year. I do like Cultus Lake as a destination though. Also looking forward to Challenge Penticton this August 30th. For awhile we were also considering the "Heart of the Rockies" event as well but we had another event on the same day. |

Challenge Penticton, I was supposed to do it before, but injury stopped me. Might do the half this year if the knee holds out. Best part is I can train right on the course!! |

Extreme Veteran 1704 Penticton, BC | Subject: RE: Three lakes triathlon series 2015 Dustin - I had been considering doing the Cherry Blossom Sprint but I've changed my mind - my oldest daughter has signed up for it so I'll likely just be there to cheer her on for her first triathlon. I swam the "Across the Lake" swim last year and it was actually fun. It was also the worst swim in the 65 year history of the swim So possibly our paths may cross some time this summer. I'm also debating the Rattlesnake Island swim in August but we'll see. |

Extreme Veteran 1332 | Subject: RE: Three lakes triathlon series 2015 I keep trying to get into the across the lake swim ( when I'm not injured ) and this year managed to remember to register before it sole out, so I am doing it this year! Hope the conditions are better than last year! :p I am considering the rattlesnake island swim too! Signed up for the registration announcement Congrats on her first triathlon! I've got twin daughters who are 7 now, and they wanted to do a "kids tri" in 2013, but by the time I looked into it, it was too late!! They did one this last year, and might do 2 this year, the tri-kids, and now they're also old enough for the kids of steel race at the apple triathlon  |
