Subject: Something is going on...What? Hello, everybody...It's been a while since I've posted, but I've run into something that is confusing me and I'm hoping someone can offer some insight.
Back in November I did IMAZ...Training went well and I had the race I wanted. I took about 2 weeks off after and hopped right back into it for Ironman New Zealand coming up on March 7th. I'm following the same plan as I did before, but something isn't going right.
My "long swim" averages have dropped from about 1:49/100y to about 1:55/100y
My ride averages have dropped from high 19's MPH to low 18's MPH
And my "tempo" runs have gone from about 7:25 min/mile to about 7:50 min/mile, while my long run averages have went from 8:45's to about 9:00
Nothing has changed, I still feel as strong as I did before IMAZ (In fact stronger on my long days ) and my diet has actually improved.
Am I'm still hungover from IMAZ? Burnt out? Under rested?
After tough, windy conditions at IMAZ and me not thinking I had a chance to break 12 hours, I jogged my way to a 12:00:00...I was really hoping to see an "11" at the beginning of my IMNZ time.
