I definitely was not trained to "race" this, with minimal milage and my two longest runs in the 7 mile range. Considering that, I guess I did ok. It was not terribly fun for me, although it was perfectly nice race.

I can train for half marathons on pavement and on trails, but as soon as I change it up to gravel or loose dirt my knee swells and the pain it causes is unreal. Any ideas why this happens?

At 30 to 40 minutes into my run, my foot starts to go numb. If I keep going, the foot goes totally numb.
