4.5 miles for me yesterday...on hills...in the rain. Hopefully I can catch some rain tonight (therefore cooler temps).

As for tracking, I used to have a Garmin 305 but it gave up the ghost. While debating on what I wanted to do to replace it, I found that my tennis elbow was cured and that my running was better without me being focused on my mileage and pacing. So now I run with just a watch. I know the distance for many of my routine routes but still doublecheck things on runningahead.com because I'm exceptionally anal about reporting my mileage accurately. It would burn my butt if I overreport. I don't like to underreport either but I will do that before overreporting by even a tenth of a mile. Anybody else like that?

Congrats EVERYONE!!! And the runners in the rain!!! Thanx everyone 4 jumping in!!! Stay Hydrated!!!

My photos choose not 2 load up here but no problem on my training log, whatever.

I walked 2day downtown but have no idea how far, walked the Boy Dog 2.1 miles, and Ol Gramp's 1.1

TOTAL: 7.65 So Far of running/walking mix in June….. Classic…. Or after 2 days I should say

2mar will be a timed mile of running the straights and walking the turns

Well shoot...it's Nat'l Running Day and today was an off day for me. Crap. Everyone make sure to check your emails because sometimes different running mags offer specials on Nat'l Running Day. Last year, I think I got a full year of Women's Running for $1.

I went for a walk this evening but I don't count in my running mileage because I had a drink in my hand. :-) Just went out to enjoy the weather, stretch my legs, pet some dogs, and talk to neighbors. Now doing some yoga stretches, planks, and I guess I'll go get The Stick out and work on my calves now.

Another epic day….. Gym in the AM…. Headed over 2 Stoker Stadium 4 National Running Day 2 time a mile and they were hosting an event I wouldnt allow me on the track….. Whatever…. Did ride with the leisure group at 5:30pm as part of the Bike 2 Work Month….. Then walked Grandpa a mile…. Loaded up the Boy Dog and went out 2 the desert…. I figure I was power hiking at about a 12min pace and we were out there 4 the hour…. So I am calling it a heavy 4 miles….. Legs felt gr8…. Took awhile before the hips loosen up…. Really engaged the gluts on the uphills….. Sure wish I had a COCKTAIL in my hand.

I still have my photos rejected here but loads up quickly on my TRAINING LOG… Feel free 2 have a look

Hows everyone??? How's the body??? Are you all drinking enough H2o??? Heating up in your parts of the world??? Swimming or Biking???

You still have plenty of time 2 make your goal

Cheers

It was perfect a perfect morning for running today, 65 degrees and overcast. As I missed yesterdays run I ran further than I usually do and it felt great. I actually felt I could go further but didn't want to overdo it. Running is actually starting to feel natural again ! Perfect forum to keep up the motivation factor. I am also training to get my first sprint triathlon in this season. My biggest obstacle is swimming. Even though I have been swimming a few months it still doesn't feel natural, so if anyone has any tips I would love to hear it. Keep up the good work everyone.

I bombed out on yesterday. Too much work and too little motivation. Today will be catch up. I am heading for a quick trip to Fla. Fly down, drive Mom up here for the summer. Hopefully I'll get some miles in down there.

I had good luck with TI (total Immersion) for getting my form correct. I have started with Sheila taorima's swim speed dry land cord work for my stroke. I am s-l-o-w but I am much more comfortable in the water and can easily swim a mile straight.

This weekend was planning to move my long up to 10 or 11 miles but farting around and other commitments kept me from that. Instead settled for back to back sorta long days. Currently at 27.4 miles.

Chainsaw murderers chasing me downhill and I would be lucky to get to 9 mm. With practice, you will get there.

I am behind, but I expected that. Nothing yesterday but driving with my 87 year old mom for 12 hours (and her cat). When I got home, I opted for wine

I did get some miles in down in Fla. I am having to walk instead of run. My pulled/torn tendon is still not willing to pony up to running. It is kind of sad/funny that my walking pace and my "running" pace are not that far off.

You All Are Killing It!!!

Proud Of You!!! TriJames AKA Uncle Crazy is top dog with 33.8 miles so far, Pink Socks rocked out 27.4 miles and might have hit 30miles if she had a cocktail in her hand, and B Bali 868 leads me with 26.72 miles. We Can Do This!!!

I didn't run at all this past weekend as it was the Gunny Enduro Downhill on Sat and Little Park Hill Climb on Sunday.

Monday was an easy walk with the Boy Dog per schedule and 2day was 1.5miles at the track.

Lap #1 in 3:20.3
Lap #2 in 3:17.6
Lap #3 in 3:15.5
Lap #4 in 3:09.9
Lap #5 in 2:56.2
and final lap in 2:31.4

18.31.1 for a timed mile and a half in lane #6

June has me at a total of 14.15 miles

Cheers

I think quite truly for the first time I 'get it'. It's not just about the fitness. It's not just about the great little endorphin rush as you hit 5, 10, 15 miles...its not just the medal at the end.
