Pre-race routine:

Stayed at the Holiday Inn the night before. Up early and had yogurt and granola. The boy was slow going but we got there.
Event warmup:

Found lawyer then waited until a half hour for the ride to start.

Matt & I will get silver one day. It just wasn't today with him sick.

This remains a unique event. Nine miles of closed roads and 1500 bikes. Doing this with my friend Laura was even more fun. The boy was sick and still dug out 2 laps. We will be back again for silver.

After I left the running store, I couldn't stop thinking about the sprint tri and how much of a challenge it would be for me. So instead of joining a gym, I started riding my bike and it felt great.
