Subject: RE: Get a Garmin Edge, stick with only 920xt or a cheap bike computerAnecdotally, I have the 310xt quick release kit, and it's NEVER had any issues with possibly untwisting during a triathlon, but I swim with it in my cap instead of on the arm too.
Some pros will go with just the watch, no quick release kit, but have the screen on the inside of the arm instead of the outside, seems to have slightly less drag and imo in the aero bars it would be easier to sneak a glance.
If you REALLY wanted to be able to see all the data really well, but not worry about the bulkiness or possibility of it popping off on the swim or whatever, then nothing wrong with a dedicated garmin bike computer.
Also, if one dies mid-bike you'll have a back-up.
I'm just too cheap and stick to one device. |
