Hi MN triathletes! Just wanted to let you know about a virtual race we are doing down here in Rochester. Please go to our website and read more about it. This course uses the old Treadman course; if you've ridden that, you know it's a great ride. Registration is through Active. Thanks for taking a look!

I am going to sign up, but I am not sure when/if I'll do it. I can't come the second weekend when the Tri Rochester group will be there, but am considering either 19th or 20th.  If anyone wants to ride with me from the Twin Cities, or meet me there, let me know...  I would do the long course.

After doing duathlons for the last couple of years, I decided to go for a triathlon. Starting with an Olympic-distance race perhaps wasn't wise, but it was fun (of a sort).

Is it possible for loners to work in a small group and still have plenty of time on their own? Training in small groups can give many benefits.

My first duathlon was a success. I had so many fears before the race but none of those fears happened. And when it was all over, I felt I had accomplished something big.
