Remaining miles to complete for September bike/run challenge: Bike = 5.25 Run = 6.5

Gonna go down on the trainer this morning to get the bike miles finished, then I'll jump on the treadmill to get some of the run miles checked off. Plan is to finish up the run miles in the morning. Can't believe I'm doing bricks AFTER my last race of the season!

Come on everyone

DIG DEEP
and
FINISH STRONG

I'm afraid I'm going to be well short-I have 24 miles to go running, and 11 biking.  I never quite recovered from my early month illness-I was counting on good mileage then before starting my crazy special care nursery block.  Sorry for letting you all down!!!  I'm planning on a workout tomorrow am or in the afternoon-I have parents night tonight so I doubt I'll get one in tonight.

But I'm sending positive workout thoughts to everyone!!!

OK I am back! After paw paw's funeral and my birthday I have been a useless person for the last week. Missed my only tri of the year, what should have been my first. Been in a bad funk, but starting tomorrow I am back on the bandwagon. To my fellow weevils, I am sorry. I have been a bad teammate and a worse captain. I will not meet my goals. But life happens, so should we ever meet I will buy all you guys a beer.

You are an AWESOME  teammate and even a better captain.  Sometimes you just can't control circumstances, and taking care of family is certainly more important that holding the hand of adults who joined this challenge to motivate themselves, NOT put more pressure on  you!   I'm sorry you missed your first tri, but there will be others to train for - I hope we can be here for you as much as you were for us!  Thanks for doing a super job!

BTW, I'll still take the beer!

What ^ said!!!!  Seriously - you've been a great team leader and really good about inspiring all of us.  Life happens sometimes and you can't control that.  Don't feel bad at all.

Oh - and did someone say beer??!!

I have to agree with everyone else...You have given me great support and been a great team leader.  We should be buying you a beer...but with all of us buying you beer, you would be getting really drunk...So I will just buy you a cyber beer...

Hey I told Tammy that I would run the rest of her few Miles for her, once I get my miles in this Saturday.  I just want to help her out for this challenge.  I am afraid I can't add too many miles though.

So Tammy just relax, I'll take care of those last few miles.  <EG>

If they will let us, I have run 20 extra miles....they are logged in and everything.  I didn't expect my running to go as well as it has...Those extra 20 are up for grabs....

Tammy, it is all right.  I would not feel right putting that on you.  But I have no problem offering to help you out.

I don't think you can "give" miles to a team mate, but since Tammy is not on my team but one of the competition I am sure they would allow me to give her those miles <wink, wink>.

I really think the Banana Slugs are so worried that we're going to beat them that they sent Scott over here to sabotage our efforts.  It's okay though, the more he hangs out here, the less time he has to finish those miles - you just keep the mouth running instead of the bodypart that's supposed to be doin' the work

I too have my apologies to make. Missing the Meat Pie puts me well short of my goals, and unable to finish my challenge. I am back on the bandwagon but it seems to be much too late now. Life happens, but congratulations to all of you who have worked so hard. GEAUX WEEVILS--and don't worry all, I bought Monica a real beer (or 10) already, and am helping her not feel too down--I wouldn't be doing any of this if she wasn't there everyday to motivate me, I would just be a lazy slob instead, sort of like what I've been for the past 8 days or so. Arrgh--I think she's got me training for a half marathon next and joining the canoeing club. Help!!

Hey guys.  I know I haven't been a talkative member and that life interfered with my workouts this month, but thanks for being so supportive!  You guys rock.  Hope you end the month on a positive note.

You have been a GREAT leader and I've really appreciated your support, even as I too have failed to meet my goals (a lotta life going on this month in this crew!).   Thanks to everyone's support, and I'll keep visiting your logs to see how you are doing!

Go Boll Weevils-we may 6 legs and antennae, but we have a lot of heart!
