Finally!  Last week of school for me!

4:30am-6:00am:  weird morning.  Woke up with hives all over my neck and face--I think probably from doing some core work in our yard yesterday--maybe the chemicals in the grass or something.  So, started on some antihistamine.  My workout room was a mess so rather than run this morning as I had planned, I cleaned and re-organized.  I put Ruby back on the trainer again.  I will head out for my run later after school, just wasn't feeling it this morning!

Have a great day, all!

Yuck--that doesn't sound like fun! Once last year I actually broke into hives all over my upper body, during a trainer workout! Figured it was related to having had a glass of wine at a school function about an hour before (just before winter break started) and must have been allergic to some additive in it. So don't drink and ride Ruby LOL!

3200m of swimming here. Particularly brutal workout; not just the sets as written, but I was trying to beat an approaching thunderstorm. Made it with about five minutes to spare. As I was walking out of school about 15 minutes after getting out of the pool, watched lightning strike the rod on top of a big apartment building across the river. Yikes!

Last week here as well. Kids are done Thursday at noon; teachers soldier on till sometime Friday.

6:00am 1800yard swim

Got back from our camping road trip so today is cleanup day, get the camper put away, then either some mountain bike riding with my wife or a road ride, depends on trail conditions.

Have a great summer break,my last day (teacher work day) was the Friday before Memorial Day.

3000 yards in the pool. I swam it pretty hard.

I saw Tulsa has an oly in 3 weeks. That might be something up my alley.

Hope everyone has a good week

Jealous of all the teachers in here!

4 mile run for me tonight after work. Getting warmer, but not quite that typical Texas searing heat yet.

I went into the pool area (as this was a pool swim) and got body marked. That's when it hit me that I was there to race - this was not a clinic.

I have been able to swim 200-300 yards without stopping for the past couple of weeks, but this morning I couldn’t swim more than 50. Could not eating make a big differance?

This is not an easy task, especially for the “9-to-5er” with family. But you can do it – all without sacrificing your marriage, job or family.

Once you caught your breath, it occurred to you that finishing even a short triathlon might be harder than you thought. After a few "laps" you thought, "I can't believe I'm so out of shape."
