So I had a long injury hiatus from the sport, and when I tried on my older Orca Evo (10 year) it seems to have shrunk (I'm the same size). Plus a few of the seams came apart. I have a new john style suit for a race this weekend, but does anyone have tips on how to recondition the ol' Evo?

I don't use the full suit very often so I'd prefer not to replace it... or is it just time?

Thanks!!

Are you sure your the same size and proportions?

If so, put it on the material should still be nice and stretchy. If its not stretching it's probably done. You can reglue seams that are coming apart. If you used it on pool last or close to last the residual cl may have taken it's toll on it.

pretty sure the neoprene has compressed, and is probably stiff.. sounds too old to me.

It shrank because all of the moisture evaporated out of it. Soak it in the tub and it should be good to go, except for those seams. No advice there.

P:er Emilio, soak it in water then give it a shot.

soak your wetsuit

As for seams, I've swam with a wetsuit with seams coming apart.  Not ideal but not a big deal either (unless it's at Alcatraz, that was kind of a big deal until the body parts finally went numb

Thanks a lot everyone... BT is such a great site w/ a great community. I'm going to soak my 2 suits, my family will be thrilled to have them hanging in the bathroom all week.
