Water was super warm. Going out to 1st buoy, all was good. Once you make that turn it started to get choppy. After the next buoy it was super choppy.

Comments:

This bike course is rolling hills but can be super fast. Going out there is an initial sharp 180 that sucks, but once you get on the causeway you have a tailwind that lets you go super fast.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing

Comments:

HRM broke in the first few miles. It was so freaking hot, the glue melted on the strap and it came undone.

Some mistakes I made during the Hawaii Ironman 70.3. Don't be caught out on the course not knowing how or not having the equipment to change a flat tire.
