Event comments:

Mother nature did a job on this race. I am glad the promoters cancelled the swim. It would have been a horrible day for most if they didn't. This was the most fun I ever had at a Ironman and will do this race again. I did a Ironman last month with similar race weather. Promoters did not cancel a single mile. Dozens of people were hurt. I will never do that race again. It's nice to see that people are looking out for our safety.

wow  you are super speedy!! Glad you liked the area. I'm sort of a homer, being 2 hours away, but I love this town.  They truly want it to work and they tried their darndest.

I'm a swimmer and I agree with you, the swim would have been dangerous.

During the race there will be plenty of opportunities to exchange bottles, so I'm thinking about going with the aero bottle and Gatorade bottle and fill up as necessary. What should I do?

If a heart patient can do these things, then so can those of you who haven't been split open like a fish and sewn back together.
