Subject: RE: 11.14.16 Monday morning! Today's my off day. I'm in the very early base building phase, with an emphasis on strength. Usually three total s/b/r type workouts during the week, with two being swim. Been somewhat interesting and entertaining to watch my weight creep up. Really trying to embrace the periodization mentality, that the lighter, easier load now will pay dividends later. As a side note, I'm reading the Daniels' Running Formula. It jives with a lot of what I've found to work in my running, and with what I've read about triathlon from authors like Friel. Anyone familiar with Daniels, and have you found his approach to be sound (as either an athlete or coach)? Have a GREAT week, everyone! |
