This is my first actual RUN since September and one of the furthest in about 20 months. The fact I am running at all is kind of a miracle. I signed up when I realized that I would be the magic 12 weeks form surgery this past Wednesday and therefore allowed to run again. I have been doing some on my zero runner but no true running whatsoever. My only goal was to hope I could do any running at all. I have a new brace for my right knee despite the fact that my left knee was most recently operated on and I have never run in tit. I had more pain from the brace than everything but it takes a bit to get used to them as they are fairly awkward. I am pleased as punch as I ran at least 1/2-2/3rds of this and the knees are no worse for wear. BRING it 2017!1
What would you do differently?:

Not a thing.

Warm down:

Waited for David who was walking the race

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Have not run in 4 months, 3 months post op revision left ACLR, new brace on right knee

Event comments:

Like I said its a miracle I can run at all. I am very pleased. I know its dead slow but its better than no running at all!!

In November of 2000, I noticed that I was losing the feeling in my toes. The sensation traveled up my body and within a week, I was nearly 80% paralyzed.

First, with your upcoming 5K, I strongly advise you to check out the “Couch to 5K” training schedule. This training schedule is a GREAT way to get back into running safely and wisely.

If you are like many runners you may be frustrated at racing 5K distances and never being able to run them faster. Improve your race pace with this flexible 12 week program.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve had weight issues. I remember standing on the scale as a child weighing 60 pounds and feeling fat. My family dealt with stress by eating.
