Subject: Looking for a mentor :) :)
I am super excited to set for myself the goal of completing my first triathlon in July!!
I would like feedback and encouragement. I work a full time desk job, so I have to make time from my work day to stay moving. I would like advice in transitioning from one activity to the next, and I also am new to brands of tri-shorts/ biking shorts.
Thank You

Hi!
Check out our Mentor Forum here: http://www.beginnertriathlete.com/discussion/forums/forum-view.asp?...

You can browse the open groups and choose one that is a good fit. It's a small group with a mentor assigned to each. it's free. Good luck!

Coming off of a tibial stress fracture in 2000, stevebradley made his way into triathlon. Now he has over 60 triathlons completed and is one of the most active mentor groups on BT.

Not only is he a great athlete, he is a great mentor. I have been in his mentor group for the last two rounds and he inspires and encourages our entire group daily.

I have pedals with the cage and when I ride 2+ hours my legs feel much more tired then if I took out my husband's bike with clipless pedals. Do clipless pedals truly make the difference?

Find a mentor. Make a list of at least three people that you could approach for help, list your specific needs and then be courageous enough to begin asking.

I started riding this spring with the Carnac shoes on Look pedals (with plenty of float). About five minutes into a ride I get sharp pain on the outer edge of my feet, just behind the pedal.
