7.5 mile run on sore legs against 25mph winds, descending negative spits.

Started out at 1-10:55 2-10:37, 311:05, 4-11:25, 5-11:37, 6-10:43 7-10:17 .5-9:39  (10:51 avg, 1:22min)

2 wks!!!! Excited to say the least.

I had so much fun on my long ride last week that I pretty much did the same ride again today.  Except slower, and a couple miles longer.  I'm so ready for this race to be done, I need a break from the long weekend workouts.  Yesterday was a complete bust after my run, I just didn't have energy to tackle any of the things I need to fix around the house.  I better get cracking on them today, though, because it won't happen during the work week.  So, off to buy a sprinkler valve, and then fix a faucet, trim some palm trees, prep the garden ...

Hey hey!

Been a crazy week of travel for me, with being in Austin until Thursday for work, then shooting up to Tulsa on Friday for my nephew's baptism. Got in a moderate 4 mile run yesterday. Stiff headwind the first two miles, then with the wind the last two. My HR spiked the last two. Maybe the cooling effect of the wind had helped on the first two?

Today, I had an hour ride at 75% effort after my 5.5 hour drive back from Tulsa. It felt good to do something other than be sitting in the car. My first olympic race is next Sunday, so this week will be mostly shorter stuff with some speed sprinkled in.
