Hi all,
Anyone have a recommendation for a good floor tire pump? I have had 2 Bontragers over the last 2 years and both have failed. Air just starts coming out of the seal where the head attaches to the hose.
Just wondering if there is a pump that has been reliable that you would not hesitate to buy again if you needed to.
Thanks!
performance bike sells a few different good ones, I think the one I have is 'air joe' or something like that, its yellow two sided head for both valve types, pressure gauge on the base, I've had it for maybe 5 years with no issues.
If you have the coin, the silca is hard to beat. You could also buy an older model silca on the cheap... they are rebuildable and work very well. There are some guys at the track using old superpista's that must be 30+ years old.
The old Spec pump I've got also does a fine job, and my wife's Lezyne is competent for the most part.
I have a Blackburn which I've owned for 15+ years I would guess. It came with a lifetime warranty. They sent me a couple different seal kits over the years and eventually replaced the mechanism which clamps to the tube with a newer design. All under warranty. Couldn't be happier with pump and support, I would recommend them in a heartbeat.
