Subject: Editing posts

Why is the time limit for editing posts 30 minutes?  I went back to a thread (after 30 minutes) and noticed I had left out a word in one of my sentences...couldn't add it since 30 minutes had expired.

I believe that rule is in place to prevent people from altering the main point or changing their point of view after people have already begun replying to it. It's confusing to people replying if there are comments about a certain item, but that item is no longer in the original post.

I can fix the wording issue if you like -send it to me and I'll make the change.

Btw, a 3-4 minute improvement in your 1.5k time is huge! 

I wanted to add the bolded part (doesn't need to be bolded in the edited sentence).  This is from my post at 5:29 yesterday in the thread entitled "Conflicting feelings of a beginner".
